Tips for Orthodontic Hygiene

If you are undergoing orthodontic treatment, please be sure to take good care of your smile every single day. We recommend the following tips:

• Stay up to date on your dental cleanings! A lot of times people think we can’t clean our teeth with braces on, but we can. There are tricks and tools that we have to keep your teeth sparkling white during orthodontic treatment.
• Make sure to floss every day without fail! There is floss made specifically for braces called “super floss,” and “harp flosser,” or you can buy floss threaders to use with regular floss.
• Use a soft toothbrush to make sure you can clean properly between the brackets and your gums without causing irritation.
• Brush after every meal.
• Use mouthwash every night.
